Manual handling is a highly applied process. As most industry professionals would recommend, it should be learnt, practised, and perfected with in-person learning. While academic standards are helpful, it is essential to acquire feedback on your practices in a risk-free environment. Based on these insights, we have designed the program such that:

1. Learners are not supposed to use any online workbooks or texts.
2. All the learners are given 4 hours of in-person training along with an assessment.

Before you attend the program, you would be required to thoroughly go through the pre-course reading material available in a PDF format. You must download this book, go through the mandatory reading, print a bounded copy, finish the questions available in the text, and bring it to the in-person training.

The pre-training material and workbook will be emailed to each learner as soon as she/he has successfully enrolled on the program. While finishing these materials is mandatory, you have the freedom of pacing yourself and completing all the material at your own pace and in your preferred order. However, please ensure you finish the material before attending the in-person training session. Your prior experience, ability to learn new concepts and academic background will decide the time required to complete all the material.

The skills acquired by the end of the program include many multifaceted techniques, principles, and working procedures. Examining your competence in each of these is critical to award you the necessary accreditation and safeguard the people you treat in the future. Reflecting the significance of these requirements, you will be assessed in a combination/aggregation of the following tests:

1. Simulated Demonstration: A role-playing test where you will perform the manual handling tasks as dictated.

2. Risk Assessment: You will be assessed based on your performance in an assigned project.

3. Accumulated Knowledge Test: All the knowledge you have acquired during the training sessions will be tested by the course instructors as necessary.

The tests are designed to provide you with feedback and help you develop the confidence for putting your acquired skills to use.

The following details are subject to change as per the policies of Auz Training, government mandates, or industry requirements:

1. Adequate understanding and skills for preparing and executing three or more manual handling tasks in a professional context.
